Man decapitated in French terrorist attack

A man suspected of carrying out a terror attack in France was known to police.

One man was beheaded and two others injured after a car was driven into a gas factory - setting off an explosion - near Lyon.

Two Islamic flags were found nearby.

The French interior minister says a number of other people are in custody and authorities are searching for possible accomplices.

French President Francois Hollande says there's no doubt that the attack was terrorist in nature.

French media are reporting that a man's been killed in an explosion at a factory in south-eastern France.

It's understood an Islamist flag was found at the scene in Saint Quentin Fallavier, near Lyon- and a loud explosion was heard there.

It's thought a number of other people may have been injured.
