An Eastern European man who was injured in an assault Co. Meath last week has died in hospital.
It's believed the 37-year-old victim was hurt during an incident at an apartment at Academy Square in Navan Town in the early hours of Friday morning.
He lost his fight for life in Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown in Dublin earlier today.
A post-mortem is being carried out to determine whether the assault investigation will be upgraded.
