A man who was seriously assaulted in Dublin's Temple Bar last night has died from his injuries.
The man, aged in his twenties, was pronounced dead in hospital this evening.
Four men arrested at the scene are being questioned at Pearse Street, Kevin Street and Irishtown Garda Stations.
Gardaí say a group of men was involved in the serious assault in Cow's Lane at about a quarter to nine last night.
One man suffered a serious head injury and was brought to St James' Hospital, where he died this evening.
A post mortem examination will be carried out.
A second man suffered minor injuries and has since been released from hospital.
Gardaí believe some witnesses filmed the attack as it occurred - those people are being urged to come forward.
Gardaí also want to hear from anyone else who was on Cow's Lane between half eight and nine last night and may have witnessed the incident.
