A 39-year-old man has been killed in Donegal after his car collided with a pole.

He was the sole occupant of the car which crashed at Currinsport in Milford at 9pm last night.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Letterkenny General Hospital.

The road is closed to facilitate a forensic examination by Gardai.

Local diversions are in place.
