A man has died in a crash in Dublin.
The pedestrian was struck by a car on the N2 dual carriageway in Finglas at about 3am.
The victim has not yet been identified.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown where a post mortem is due to take place.
The road remains closed to allow a forensic examination of the scene take place.
The driver of the car a man in his fifties escaped injury in the crash.
Anyone who was in the area at the time or may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact Gardaí.
