A 19-year-old man has died following a jet-skiing accident on Lough Derg in Co. Clare.
The Killaloe Coast Guard unit responded to the incident after 5 o'clock on Wednesday evening.
The man's body was recovered from the water following a multi-agency search operation involving Gardaí, the Killaloe Coast Guard, Killaloe/Ballina Search and Rescue, and Killaloe Fire Service, and the Rescue 115 helicopter from Shannon.
Two girls, who were also on the jet-ski, managed to swim to safety after it flipped over and threw them into the water near the bridge in Killaloe yesterday evening.
It's reported they were wearing life jackets and managed to make it to shore with the help of bystanders.
