Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a two-car crash in Co Meath.

It happened at Boynabought, Kilmainhamwood in Kells at around 8.00pm last night.

The 24-year-old, who was a passenger in one of the cars, died.

The male driver of that car, and the male driver of the other vehicle, were both taken by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.

No other people were involved.

The road has been closed for an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardaí in Navan are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact Navan Garda Station on 046-9036-100, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
