A man in his 20s has died in a single car crash in Co Meath.

Gardai say the crash - which happened at Cornelstown - was reported after 2.30 this morning.

The dead man was a passenger in the car that left the road, and the driver and another passengers received injuries that were not life threatening.

The road remains closed for a full forensic examination, with local diversions in place.

Gardai are also appealing for witnesses to contact Ashbourne Garda Station.
