An 70 year-old man has died following a single car collision in county Monaghan.
It happened at Coolcollid in Glaslough sometime between 6pm on Thursday the 3rd of July and 5am on Friday the 4th.
The man suffered fatal injuries when the vehicle he was driving left the road.
He was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, where a post mortem will be carried out.
The road was closed while gardai examined the scene but has since reopened.
Gardai are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to contact Monaghan Garda Station.
