A man in his 50s has died in a house fire in Co Kildare.

Emergency services were called to the scene just before 2 this morning at a house on the Dublin Road in Naas.

Gardai say the man was found unconcious at the house, and was taken to Naas General Hospital, but was later pronounced dead.

A full investigation is underway.
