A man in his early 20s has died in a single vehicle crash in County Offaly.

He was fatally injured when his jeep veered off the road at Clonlee near Kinnity at about 2.30 this morning.

He was the only occupant of the vehicle.

His body's been removed to Tullamore Regional Hospital where a post mortem will take place.

The road is currently closed, to allow Garda Forensic Collision investigators will examine the scene. 

Diversions are in place.
