A Swedish man has been killed and another is seriously injured after the pair crashed into a car while riding down a hill in a shopping trolley in Australia.

The 28 year old from Sweden died at the scene in Coogee - a beachside suburb of Sydney - after he was thrown from the cart.

It's understood the trolley had reached speeds of nearly 50 miles an hour.
