A man in his 30s has died following a stabbing in Co Wicklow.
It happened at around 12:30am this morning in Arklow.
Gardai were called to a house at The Cresent in Meadowvale in Arklow town in the early hours of this morning where the man in his 30 was discovered with apparent stab wounds
He was treated at the scene by emergency services and then taken to St.Vincent's University Hospital in Dublin where he died a short time later.
Gardai have arrested a man in his 40s in connection with the incident - he's being held at Arklow Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
A technical examination of the scene is due to take place and an incident room has been set up at Arklow Garda Station.
