A man's due in court in Dublin this morning in connection with Monday's crime spree which started in Tallaght.

It's alleged six cars were hijacked or stolen during this week's dramatic garda chase.

A man in his 30s was arrested after an alleged eight hour armed crime spree which began early in the morning at a house in Brookeview Lawns in Jobstown.

The pursuit took place across Tallaght and Clondalkin before a dramatic arrest at the Citywest shopping centre.

The suspect was taken to Tallaght Garda Station where detectives have since charged him with a range of offences.

He's due to appear in court at 10.30 this morning.
