Man due in court over death of Cathal Sweeney

A man's due in court today charged in connection with the death of a man in Dublin on Saturday night.

62 year old Cathal Sweeney died in hospital after being found with head injuries at a flat at Ashdale Gardens in Terenure.

It's understood he'd been watching the Ireland  v Wales rugby match with two other men when a row broke out.

A 32 year old man was arrested and taken to Terenure Garda station for questioning, where he's been held since Saturday night.

He's now due to appear in court this morning, charged in connection with Mr Sweeney's death.

Cathal Sweeney is a former captain of St Mary's rugby club in Templeogue in Dublin
