A man is due in court at lunchtime in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 26 year old woman in Kilkenny

Mairead Moran died after being stabbed several times at the Holland and Barrett health shop in Market Cross shopping centre.

It happened in broad daylight on Thursday evening.

A 27 year old man arrested in connection with the attack will appear at Kilkenny District Court at one o'clock this afternoon.
