A 43 year old man charged with murdering 29 people in the Omagh bombing in 1998 has been remanded in custody.
Seamus Daly, from Cullaville, Co Monaghan appeared at Dungannon Magistrates' Court this morning amid a heavy security presence.
He was arrested on Monday.
The 1998 explosion in Omagh has been described as the worst single terrorist attack of the Northern Ireland troubles, coming just months after the Good Friday agreement.
No-one has ever been successfully convicted of the bombing in a criminal court.
Belfast-based Security Correspondent Alan Murray says police are not saying what evidence they've used to charge Mr Daly.
