A 28 year old man has been killed in a farm accident in Macroom in Co Cork.

It's understood the man was on a shed roof at around 3pm making a video of silage cutting when the roof collapsed.

Emergency services attended the scene but the man was pronounced dead.

A post mortem will be carried out at Cork University Hospital tonight or tomorrow morning

Both the Gardai and the Health and Safety Authority are investigating.
