Gardai are investigating the discovery of a man's body in a house on Dublin's Northside.

At around 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon Gardaí were called to an address on Glendhu Road, off the Navan Road in Cabra, where they found the remains of a man in his 40s.

The man was declared dead at the scene but the State Pathologist isn't expected to arrive until this morning so the body has remained in place overnight.

A post-mortem will need to be carried out to determine the exact cause of death.

A technical exam will also need to be completed.

The two storey house was sealed off yesterday and Gardaí say they are examining the circumstances surrounding the death before deciding on the course of any investigation.
