A man is being treated in hospital after he was hit by a car outside Banbridge in Co. Down in the early hours of this morning.

The incident occurred on the Lurgan Road area of Seapatrick at around 1:45am.

The man was taken to hospital where he is being treated for serious injuries.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen this man walking on the Lurgan Road between 12.15am and 1.45am to come forward.
