A man in his 30s has died in a crash in Limerick this afternoon.

The motorcycle he was driving crashed into a wall at 3.30 at Ballinaclough, in Pallasgreen.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to University Hospital Limerick where a post mortem examination will be carried out tomorrow.

The road at the scene of the collision is closed pending a forensic examination and diversions are in place.
