Gardaí are investigating a road collision in county Cork this morning - which has left a man in a serious condition.
The single car incident happened at Bridge Street in Bantry.
The man who is in his early 30's was taken to Bantry General Hospital where he remains in a serious condition this evening.
The road has reopened to traffic following a forensic examination of the scene.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
