A 56 year old Italian man who was arrested in connection with an Ebola hoax on a plane at Dublin Airport is due to appear in court this morning.
The alert was sparked after a passenger on board a flight from Milan to Dublin had shown a plastic cup to a flight attendant marked ''Attentione Ebola''. There were 142 passengers on board at the time.
The Captain contacted the Dublin Airport Authority, and the H.S.E. were notified and the emergency protocols were invoked.
Three of the passengers were medically examined... after which passengers were permitted to disembark and the cordon removed.
Ballymun Gardai were called and 2 female passengers aged (51 & 23) and a male passenger (aged 56), all Italian, were arrested under the Air Navigation and Transport Act
the 2 women were released without charge last night, and the 56 yr old man is due in court in Dublin this morning in connection with the incident.
