A 31-year-old man arrested in connection with a carjacking incident in Dublin, has been charged.

A 58 year old taxi driver was threatened and assaulted at knife point by a man, before being forced from his car, in a shopping centre carpark in Palmerstown on Friday night.

The taxi was later intercepted by Gardaí at a filling station in Maynooth and a 31-year-old man was arrested.

He will appear in court tomorrow.
