Man in His 20s Dies In Road Crash In Co Kildare

A man has died in a road crash in Co. Kildare.

It happened on the M7 at around 8.45 on Monday night.

Emergency services were called after a car travelling westbound, between Junction 12 Newbridge and Junction 13 Kildare, struck a raised grass bank.

The man, who was aged in his 20s and a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, also aged in his 20s was taken to Tallaght University Hospital in Dublin, for treatment on non-life threatening injuries.

Gardaí say two other passengers, both men aged in their 20s, didn't require immediate hospital treatment.

Anyone with video or dash-cam footage who was travelling on the M7 between J12 and J13 around the time of the collision are asked to make it available to Gardaí.
