Gardai in Limerick are appealing for witnesses after a man was injured in a suspected hit and fun in Croom. 

The man in his 20s was discovered at around 2.30am around a kilometre outsdie Croom on the Ballingarry Road. 

He's been taken to University Hospital Limerick where his condition is described as serious.

Gardai at Newcastle West are investigating and have appealed for witnesses.
