Man Jailed For 11 Years For Conspiracy To Murder

A man has been jailed for 11 years for conspiring with others to murder a man in Dublin last year as part of the Hutch-Kinahan gangland feud.

Luke Wilson, who's from Cremona Road in Ballyfermot, was arrested in the back of a van which Gardaí believed was on its way to the planned hit.

A number of vehicles were bugged by Gardai, and Wilson could be heard discussing the plan to murder a man called Gary Hanley.

He was described as an “essential cog” in the botched hit.

Luke Wilson was handed a 12 year sentence today with the final year suspended.

Speaking outside court today, Detective Superintendent Seamus Boland said "An Garda Síochána will continue to ensure that adequate res are allocated to our communities where people are willing to target other people for murder with firearms for financial gain".
