Gardaí in Dublin are investigating after a fatal assault in Dublin this evening.
A man was attacked at Avonbeg Gardens in Tallaght at around 5.30pm.
He was taken to Tallaght Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
So far Gardaí have made no arrests.
