A man - believed to be a son of the couple who died in Donegal - is still being questioned over their deaths.
The bodies of pensioners Jimmy and Kathleen Cuddihy - both in their 70s - were found at their home in Carndonagh around 9 yesterday morning.
A hatchet found at the house is being examined as part of the investigation.
A 42 year old man is being held at Buncrana Garda Station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
