A man in his 20s is being questioned by Gardai over the alleged assault and robbery of an 89-year-old woman in Limerick.
Gardai says a man approached the woman outside her home and attempted to take her handbag, before making off with a small amount of cash on foot.
The incident took place at about 10.30 on Sunday evening in Rossbrien.
The pensioner was treated by Ambulance staff at the scene and taken to University Hospital Limerick where she is still being treated for her injuries.
Gardai arrested a man in his 20s yesterday evening - he's being held at Roxboro Road station.
