A man has been seriously injured in a five car pile-up in county Cork.
The multi-vehicle collision happened at 1pm this afternoon on the N20 at Mallow, on the Cork city side of the Killarney roundabout.
One man has been airlifted to hospital and his condition is described as serious.
A number of other people have been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The main road between Mallow and Cork City is closed at the Mallow exit and diversions are in place.
