A man murdered in broad daylight in Dublin city centre has been named locally as David Douglas.
Mr Douglas- who was in his 50's- was fatally wounded in a shooting outside a shop on Bridgefoot Street- just after four o'clock yesterday afternoon.
The gunman is believed to have been driven from the scene by another man, in a stolen silver/grey Mercedes Benz with the registration 161-D-267-02.
Gardaí recovered a gun close to the scene of the crime, while the car was found burned-out nearby.
