Gardaí are investigating a shooting at a house in Co. Cavan.

A man in his 20's was injured after at least one shot was fired, at a house in Lis-drumskeagh in Shercock just before 10 o'clock last night.

It is believed the man was confronted at the front door by two men armed with a handgun.

He's been taken to Cavan General Hospital and his injuries are described as not life threatening.
