Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a shooting in Dublin last night. 

Just after 8 o'clock last night Gardaí were called to the scene of a shooting in Mulhuddart.

It's understood a man in his 30's suffered a number injuries in the attack near his home at Parslickstown Green.

He was rushed to James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown were he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The scene has been sealed off and Gardaí are expected to carry out a forensic examination of the area later today.

Anyone with information's asked to come forward.
