A man remains in hospital this morning after being stabbed and robbed in front of his wife as they walked home in Glasnevin in Dublin last night.
At around 11pm, two men approached the 61-year-old man and his wife on Glasnevin Avenue and demanded he hand over his wallet.
He brandished a knife stabbed the man three times, the two men then escaped in a car.
The victim was taken to the Mater Hospital and his injuries are described as non-life threatening. His wife didn't suffer any injuries and was treated for shock.
