An Irish swimmer has become the first person to complete a 25km swim from Howth to Skerries in north county Dublin.
It took Fergal Somerville 6 hours and 12 minutes to battle against strong winds and tides in the Irish Sea last Friday.
The Dublin long-distance swimmer has already completed the English and North Channel crossings - but still found his local coastline to be a challenge.
It may not be for everyone but Fergal explains why he enjoys it so much.
