The man who tried to shoot dead American president Ronald Reagan 35 years ago has been released from a psychiatric hospital for good.

61-year-old John Hinkley Junior has been locked up since the 1981 attack - but will now live his mother.

Dozens of restrictions have been imposed on his release.

The conditions include a ban on giving media interviews, and compulsory regular therapy sessions.
