Two people have been killed in separate road crashes in Tipperary and in Louth.
A woman in her 20s died when a truck and a car collides at 12.25pm on the M8, northbound between junction 9 and 10 at Dogstown.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other women in the car - both in their 50s - have been brought to University Hospital Limerick and South Tipperary General Hospital, Clonmel.
The driver of the truck was uninjured.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
Meanwhile - in Co Louth a man in his 60s was killed in a crash early this morning.
The crash happened at Rassan on the Dundalk to Castleblaney Road at around 7am.
The man - who was the driver and sole occupant of the car - was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road has been closed for a forensic examination and diversions are in place.
Gardaí are also appealing for witnesses to that crash to come forward.
