Reports of racism to the Immigrant Council of Ireland have almost doubled this year, compared to 2013.
The Council is calling on the Government to commit to a National Action Plan on Racism and to review the incitement to hatred laws here, as the world marks Mandela Day today.
There have been 150 reports of racism to the ICI so far this year, compared to 81 during the same period in 2013.
