A man's body has been discovered in Waterford city today.

The man in his 30s was found at a house in Appian Close, Ardkeen at around 1.30pm.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The house has been sealed off for a forensic examination, while a post-mortem examination is due to be carried out tomorrow.

Gardaí say the results will determine the course of their investigation.
