An investigation is underway following the death of a 21-year-old man in Dublin.

He was discovered with serious injuries on Fassaugh Avenue in Cabra at around 7.30 this morning.

The man was taken to the Mater Hospital, where he died a short time later.

The scene on Fassuagh Avenue has been sealed off for a forensic examination, while the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

Gardai are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
