Gardaí are investigating after a body was recovered from the River Dodder in Dublin.

A passer-by spotted the man's body in the water at Rathfarnham at around 10.00am this morning.

The body has been removed from the river with the assistance of the Dublin Fire Brigade.

The scene has been preserved.
