A murder investigation has been launched following the discovery of a body in North Dublin.
It was discovered in a ditch off a laneway near Ballyboughal this morning just after 10.30am this morning.
The Deputy State Pathologist, Dr Michael Curtis, has arrived to carry out a preliminary post mortem exam.
Gardaí believe the man was in his 30s and was stabbed to death quite recently.
An investigation is underway to find out whether or not he was killed elsewhere.
The Garda Technical Bureau is also attending the scene, which has been sealed off.
Superintendent Noel Carolan is appealing for information.
