Mary Lou McDonald says she will NOT try to enter the Dáil chamber today.
The Sinn Féin TD is today serving the second day of a two-day suspension after being expelled last Thursday.
Her original suspension saw her refuse to depart the chamber -
But Deputy McDonald says her dispute is not over - and she has no confidence in the Ceann Comhairle, Sean Barrett.
She says Sinn Féin is meeting today to decide whether to put down a formal motion of no confidence in him.
"We have no issue with rules being applied. I have no issue with being subject to the rules of the house," she said this lunchtime.
"But I do insist that they be applied fairly, and without political bias. And my experience, sadly, over the last number of years is that the Ceann Comhairle almost uses the Standing Orders to protect and shield the government.
"There's a deferential position that he has in respect of the government, that he certainly doesn't demonstrate for members of the opposition - and in particular members of Sinn Féin."
