3.63 million people tuned in last night to watch a Limerick man win the biggest reality TV show of the year.

Greg O'Shea has became the first Irish person to win Love Island with his partner Amber.

He's now taking home his share of £50,000, but it's predicted that Greg will earn at least 6 figures in collaborations and appearances.

Greg was one of two Irish people who reached the final - Longford's Maura Higgins, who became a hit with fans here and across the pond, came fourth with her partner Curtis.

Lynn Hunter from the Collaborations Agency says the world is now their oyster: 'I think they're going to do phenomenally well, I think Maura is going to do extremely well with brands, from fashion to makeup. Sports brands, nutrition brands, they'll be after Gregg for sure. I could see them making well in excess of six figures.'

The Love Island final was the most watched episode of the entire series – and the most watched final ever – with ITV confirming a further 400,000 viewers streamed the episode non-TV devices.
