Theresa May will become Britain's new prime minister on Wednesday.

The current Prime Minister David Cameron has announced that he will go to Buckingham Palace on Wednesday afternoon to offer the queen his resignation.

The announcement comes after Theresa May became the only candidate for the leadership of the Tory party, when her rival Andrea Leadsom pulled out of the race.
