Workers and Union representatives at Bausch and Lomb in Waterford, will meet with management this morning.
They're hoping to secure some of the 200 jobs which have been earmarked for redundancy.
Last Thursday the company's 1100 workforce was told they have until June 17th to accept or reject a 20 pay cut and 200 redundancies
If a deal can't be reached, Bausch and Lomb say they'll be forced to shut the factory in Waterford city.
These women have both worked at the contact lens manufacturer for almost 20 years.
