"Twitterati", "e-cigarette" and "freegan" are among 500 new words being added to the Oxford English Dictionary.
Experts are also adding the word "twerk", and have found it was used as far back as the 1800s, to describe something twisting and jerking.
Other new official words are "fo shizzle", "meh" - an interjection expressing a lack of enthusiasm - and "hot mess".
