A memorial service has been held in Canberra in Australia to mark the first anniversary of the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 over Ukraine.

38 Australians were among the 298 who were killed.

Australia's Prime Minister Tony Abbott led the tributes, and unveiled a permanent memorial:
