Calls are being made for microbeads found in cosmetics to be banned in Ireland for environmental reasons. 

A single shower can lead to a hundred thousand of the little balls of plastic making their way into our waterways posing a threat to our fish stocks.

Microbeads are found in exfoliating products, face cleansers and toothpaste.
